Choose your audience and where your campaign shows

For:OwnerAdmin3 min readPremiumUpdated Sep 28, 2026
The owner or an admin sets this

As staff you can see campaigns and their audience on the web dashboard, but not change them. When a customer shows you a promo's code, you scan it in the Lola Business app.

See: Scan to redeem a reward

In the wizard's Audience step you decide which customers the campaign is for and where it appears in the Lola app. Here's each option and where your customers find it.

When you're done, you'll be able to
  • Pick one or more customer segments
  • Know where customers see your campaign for each placement
  • Notify your members when the campaign activates

Pick the customer segment

In the wizard’s Audience step, Customer segment sets who the campaign is for. The segments we recommend for your objective and campaign type come first; the rest sit under You may also consider:. Not every segment shows for every campaign; you’ll see some of these:

  • All: every member of your loyalty program.
  • New: people who joined recently.
  • Active customers: people who visited recently.
  • Frequent: people who come regularly.
  • High value: people who spend the most on average.
  • Re-engage: people who stopped coming.
  • Birthday: people in their birthday week.
  • Whole universe: everyone on Lola, whether or not they’re members of your business.

If you see You can pick one or more, you can combine segments. If not, picking one replaces the previous one.

Choose where it will appear

In Where it will appear you pick one placement per campaign. This is where customers find it in the Lola app:

  • Home banner: the large banner on Home, under This week’s highlights.
  • Home — Medium offer card: a featured card inside Offers of the week on Home.
  • Home — Small offer card: the compact list in Offers of the week.
  • Business profile: the Coupons tab of your page in the app.

Below, the In-app preview shows the placement you picked. If it says This placement isn’t shown in the app yet, customers won’t see it there yet: pick another one.

Tip

Flash campaigns have their own section on Home, Flash Deals, whatever placement you pick.

Check if there's room in the Home banner

The Home banner holds up to 3 active campaigns at a time, and that limit is shared across all businesses on Lola. Above your campaigns table you can see how many spots are taken, for example Home banner 3 of 3 in use.

If it’s full, publishing shows This featured spot already has the maximum number of active campaigns. Pause one to continue. Pick another placement or publish when a spot frees up.

Confirm it in the review

In the Review step, the Audience and validity card shows the audience, the placement and the dates. Click Edit if you want to change something before publishing.

After publishing, the campaigns table shows the segment in the Level column and the spot in Placement.

Notify your members

At the end of the Audience step, turn on Notify my members so they get a notice in their app inbox when the campaign activates. With Also send as push, it also reaches their phone as a notification.

Each notice uses 1 credit. The tag tells you how many you have left, for example You have 7 of 10 notices left this month. If you run out, the option turns off until they renew.
